Ricard Espelt has a PhD from the UOC’s doctoral programme in the Information and Knowledge Society and the AGAUR (Catalan University and Research Grant Management Agency) industrial doctoral degree programme.
As an interdisciplinary researcher, he specializes in action research tied to the social economy as part of the Urban Transformation and Global Change Laboratory at the IN3.
He is also a member of the UOC Rural Network leadership team, a visiting researcher at the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) in Berlin, and co-founder of the inLoft centre for contemporary culture and research (Copons, Barcelona).
