Muriel Gómez Pradas

Muriel Gómez Pradas holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Zaragoza, a degree in Geography and History with a specialization in Art History from the University of Barcelona, and a postgraduate degree in Museography from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. She is a professor and deputy director of Partnerships, Community, and Culture at the Arts and Humanities Department of the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). She is a member of the research group IdentiCat (Language, Culture, and Identity in the Global Era) and the interuniversity research group Japan and Spain: Relations through Art. Her research focuses on two major areas: the history of Catalan avant-garde movements, spanning the pre- and post-Spanish Civil War periods, and Japanese folk and traditional art (Mingei Undô).
