
I have a degree in Philosophy and Educational Sciences – Psychology from the University of Murcia, a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Tourism and ICT from the UOC and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Quality Management, Environment and Occupational Risk Prevention from the UNED, in addition to courses. PhD in psychopathology and social psychology with recognized research proficiency. University expert in quality management and control. I am studying the inter-university doctoral program in tourism at the UOC and developing a doctoral thesis on the importance of the role of social resistance movements in fragile and crisis tourist destinations, with the Mar Menor as a case study.
I have carried out my professional work in various positions in the private sector as manager of the employers’ association of Hotels and Apartments of La Manga and the Mar Menor (HOSTETUR) and of the Health Tourism Consortium of the Region of Murcia. In the public sector I have worked as a tourism product and promotion technician, as a tourism quality technician and head of the tourism quality area at the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia (ITREM). He has also been a delegate of the Spanish Tourism Quality Institute (ICTE) and an active member of the technical regulatory committees of AENOR for the development of tourism quality standards.
I am currently a professor of the tourism degree and the official master’s degree in hotel management, as well as coordinator of several modules in this master’s degree. I am also a tutor for final degree and master’s projects. I have been awarded as a tutor for the best TFG in four different chair awards at the University of Murcia.
