A project that seeks to promote socioeconomic innovation through contemporary artistic creation and regenerative tourism in rural communities

ConectArt-e seeks to promote a symbiosis between cultural and artistic creation and regenerative tourism by carrying out social, economic and cultural activities committed to the sustainability and development of the territory.
The project has two simultaneous objectives: to promote processes of artistic creation linked to regenerative tourism from which to design and implement a tourist itinerary linking different municipalities of the Mancomunidad de la Taula del Sénia and generate a network of agents resulting from this connection between art, culture and tourism. The intention behind this is to highlight the cultural heritage and values of the rural world and, at the same time, to strengthen the cohesion and the local culture by promoting collaboration and socioeconomic innovation in the territory and new narratives about contemporary ruralities.
The project will be carried out from an intersectional perspective applying qualitative and participatory research techniques. Specifically, there will be awareness and information workshops, laboratories for co-creation of ideas and identification of imaginaries about the key concepts that articulate the project (contemporary art, regenerative tourism and rural narratives), in-depth interviews and collective dynamics for the expansion and consistency of the action networks that will be created. Ultimately, the project aims to promote processes of artistic creation which will allow to launch an itinerary based on regenerative tourism and new narratives on contemporary rurality, besides promoting collaborative networks and socio-economic dynamism in the Taula del Sénia. Additionally, the intention is to create a document of good practices which can help replicate and inspire similar projects.
