Analysis of the UOC’s impact on the rural world
Through this analysis, we aim to better understand the UOC’s impact on the rural world and its potential to help shape its future. We want to know to what extent and in what ways UOC education and research are responding to the challenges of today’s rural realities, bridging the regional divide and redressing the socioeconomic and environmental inequalities.
Challenges bank
The Challenges Bank project aims to detect needs and formulate challenges based on participatory methodologies to which we can respond through Participatory Final Projects (PFP), both for Degree and Masters.
ConectArt-e
ConectArt-e aims to promote a symbiosis between contemporary cultural and artistic creation and regenerative tourism as a means to revitalise the rural territory, create network spaces to promote a commitment with the sustainability and development of the territory and create new narratives about ruralities.
The question of housing in the rural world. An exploratory study
This study aims to understand and characterize the housing market in rural areas of Spain, analyze its territorial and social differences, as well as its connection with socioeconomic, political and demographic processes that have been transforming these territories. We pay special attention to the influence of tourism development on the current configuration of the housing market in rural areas. To achieve this objective and capture the diversity of experiences in the rural world, we use a territorial comparative view and longitudinal analysis as well as economic, social and cultural/anthropological approaches.
UOC rural knowledge map
This map is intended to serve as a dynamic tool for visualizing the knowledge produced at the UOC in relation to the challenges and needs of the rural world.
It is also expected to be a useful springboard for networking, promoting multidisciplinary research and knowledge transfer, and strengthening the role of teaching in advancing the rural perspective.
