The UOC Rural Network is a space for co-creation and knowledge transfer that connects the UOC community with agents in rural areas to address contemporary challenges and reduce socioeconomic, gender, and environmental inequalities. With a cross-cutting and multidisciplinary approach, we promote transformative research, action-based teaching, and the development of innovative proposals that contribute to territorial rebalancing and the dynamism of rural communities. Aquest estudi es marca l’objectiu de comprendre i caracteritzar el mercat de l’habitatge en els espais rurals d’Espanya, analitzar les seves diferències territorials i socials, així com la seva connexió amb processos socioeconòmics, polítics i demogràfics que han estat transformant aquests territoris. Posem especial atenció en la influència del desenvolupament turístic en la configuració actual del mercat de l’habitatge en l’àmbit rural. Per a aconseguir aquest objectiu i captar la diversitat d’experiències del món rural utilitzem una mirada de comparativa territorial i anàlisi longitudinal així com enfocaments econòmics, socials i culturals/antropològics.

This project, promoted within the framework of the UOC Rural Network, aims to conduct an exploratory study on female entrepreneurship in rural environments, analyzing the social, cultural, and economic factors that influence their financial well-being and strategic decision-making. Through interviews and discussion groups, the goal is to delve deeper into the barriers and training opportunities in finance and digitalization to improve the available tools for these entrepreneurs and promote their autonomy and financial well-being.

RURALINK: Connecting Coworking and Rural Environments

RURALINK: Connecting Coworking and Rural Environments is a project that aims to analyze and understand the connection between rural coworking spaces and their local contexts in Catalonia. This initiative arises from the need to better understand the bidirectional impact between these spaces, their users, and the rural communities in which they are embedded. Through applied research and collaboration with the Cowocat_Rural network (which includes more than 40 coworking spaces in Catalonia’s rural areas), the project seeks to provide valuable insights to foster territorial revitalization and sustainable development in these regions.
